Instead of doing the dishes and cleaning up, I'm decided to write in this thing.

Ummmmmm

Olivier got me the greatest gift anyone could give me on valentines day...I cried for like...20 minutes?
At work things are back to being fun since my coworker is back and we have a great time working together. That's a lot of "work"s in one sentence.
Tsuki is starting to be the greatest dog in the world again. Ever since we were back from our trip she was kind of being a devil but we're now regaining control.
I'm busy this week: going to the gym tomorrow, having a friend over for dinner on wednesday, going to the gym on thursday and having Melissa over for the weekend! Yay! Haven't seen her in a few months and I really miss her. Having her over for dinner on friday, going shopping at H&M/Simons and going at a show on saturday. Excited!
Then on sunday Oli and I are going snowboarding at Jay. Last friday the conditions were AMAZING. Fresh powder up to our knees.
Today I went to get my photo taken for my health card and drivers liscence. Hopefully it'll be nicer than the last pictures...probably cant be worse. Olivier keeps saying that I look like Bart's crazy babysitter in my health card photo.
Stupid Santa Cabrini fired me through a LETTER. I can't believe it! I totally don't mind getting fired though because now I work full time at CHUM and don't need/want the job at Santa...but it's so frustrating to read "your boss has asked us to close your file" without my boss actually telling me!!! UGH!! I was pissed. Fuck them! Seriously!

Je peux pas croire que mon username c'est skiesandstars. Je suis pas certaine si ca peut etre plus quétaine que ca.

Je me demande si y'a encore quelqu'un qui lit mon livejournal? Surement pas. ???

Ces temps ci je revois des gens que ca fait des années je n'ai pas vu. C'est bien agréable.

Trop de choses se sont passées depuis 2006 mais en résumé je peux dire que la vie est belle!

Anyway, si quelqu'un lit ca écrivez moi ca doit faire 10 ans qu'on s'est pas parlés!

Fait un sal bout j'ai pas updaté...

Noel sen vient! J'ai presque tous mes cadeaux d'achetés.

J'ai eu une entrevue hier à Sacré Coeur en recherche...la cardiologue qui m'interviewait disait vraiment aimer mon CV. Elle m'a aussi dit que son collègue cherche une technicienne à temps plein et qu'elle allait lui donner mon CV aussi. Elle m'a dit que j'allais recevoir un appel soit de elle ou de son collègue cette semaine. Ca regarde bien, j'ai peut etre une nouvelle job! C'est soit 1-2 nuits/semaine ou bien 3-4 nuits, dépendant de la personne qui me rappelle. Ca l'air vraiment super intéressant...c'est sur le syndrome du QT long, une maladie héréditaire cardiaque et ses effets durant le sommeil. C'est cool car il n'y a presque rien se rapportant au sommeil de ces sujets dans la littérature alors ca va etre du tout nouveau. J'ai hâte de voir si je l'ai eu...j'ai toujours été intéressée à travailler en recherche...je trouve ca plus stimulant.

Alors yé!

Bon bin mon amoureux m'amene diner au resto...aw yé schweeet!

Oh and Jay Peak is opening in 3, possibly 2 weeks. I'm so mega fricken stoked. I'm missing snowboarding like a drug addict missing coke. Hah hah ok not so good comparison. Whatever...I can't wait to try my new boots and sport my new helmet! Yay!
Did I post my helmet? It's rad..it has pink bunnies all around it.

I'm driving a 2007 Toyota Corolla.
SWEET.

My echo is at the dealers getting the dent fixed and they lent me this. When I got in, it had 7km to the odometer. I am the first person(besides the person who drove it to the dealer) to drive it.

I want to keep it!
Or steal the sound system. Mine sucks ass. I guess it's to expect when you have only 2 front speakers. Hmm.

The smell of new car is nice too.
Ah well, I can't complain...my car smelled that a year ago.

Shiiiiiiit...shooting at a cegep in Montreal.
Apparently a couple of people are in critical condition and a few also in a severe condition. Many others with injuries.
Wow...you would think this kind of stuff happens only in the US.

They were interviewing students there. One said he tried taking a picture of the suspect.

It kind of reminded me that scene in Elephant. Emma knows what I'm talking about.

And I also bought a new snowboarding jacket..it'S awesome. It has an avalanche rescue system into it plus the zipper is a whistle. I CAN'T WAIT FOR WINTER!!!!

Olivier is gone on vacation with his best friend in fricken Miami for TWO WEEKS.

I think I'm slowly going insane...

I'm actually getting addicted to Rihanna's "SOS" and I clean the house listening to "Safety Dance" by Men Without Hats.

Damn Olivier's gotta come home quick so I don't completly lose my mind and start watching/liking Canadian Idol.

But really..it's only been 2 days and I'm feeling lonely. The house is empty. It's just not the same without him here. I used to complain when he went to Cornwall for his job trainings...but now I realize at least I could look forward to his return on the weekend. I guess that's the upside of him being on vacation. In the future I'll be able to handle his mini-trips to Cornwall way better. It just sucks that until then... I have to deal with this...and I don't see any upsides of him being on vacation in fricken miami-beach-land for two weeks. Plus he called me tonight but I missed the call. :( Gah.

Anyway..someone should really "Rescue Me" from this pop music.

So I moved to Brossard yesterday and it went well besides the crap rain weather.

We're almost all unpacked except for a few boxes and a big sweeping/mopping sesh.

It's really nice living there so far (it's been a full 24 hours we're there)...we don't have to put up with screaming/coughing/dog barking-neighbors. At night we go to bed and all we can hear is silence!

So the weekend was swell...Friday I got to pick up Emma at the airport and go for dinner with her. I had a really great time and it reminded me how much I appreciated having her around when she lived here two years ago. What sucks is that we were supposed to see each other today but there was a little misunderstanding and things didn't work out. I'm kind of sad we couldn't at least say goodbye in person. Hopefully when I'll have a little more money Olivier and I will be able to go out west and spend some time with her.

I'm at work and it's depressing because it rained all week and now, when I just arrived at work, the sun came out. Mother Nature 1, Me 0.

On the upside...maybe if it's nice out, people will be tempted to stay at home instead of coming to the hospital = me less work.

2nd time I saw them, as good as last time (or better)

Yesterday I saw a dog get hit by a car :(
We went for a walk on the lunch break and we heard a "BANG", looked left and saw a big dog come out of under a car.
We couldn't believe it! It was two dogs running around alone...the one that got hit ran away with a paw lifted up. The other one was wandering around and we decided to get it and call the number on the ID tag. Turns out those dogs ran away from home 4 times since the beginning of the year. So we call the SPCA and they tell us they can pick up the one we found in an hour...the only problem is our lunch break ends in 15 minutes. So we decide to ask a man that was mowing his lawn to lend us a piece of rope so we could tie the dog to a tree. While we were attaching the dog, a guy comes up with a leash and says "Ugh, that's my brother's dog. They always run away and I always have to fnid them. I'm so sick of these stupid dogs" and doesn't even ask about the other one!! Ugh we were so frustrated. Why do people buy dogs if they don't even care about them.

On a brighter side, yesterday I did an EEG on the cuttest little 5 year old girl ever. She was all smiles and was so sweet and sociable. She was excited about the exam and cooperated for everything we had to do (which isn't always the case with kids that age). WHen I was putting all the electrodes on her head, she looked up with a big smile and said "I have a surprise for you!! But I'm only going to give it to you when we're done" I was so stunned! A surprise for ME?! Usually it'S the technician that's supposed to give surprises, not the kids! So anyway she was a sweetheart during the whole exam and at the end she was so excited to give me the surprise. She asked me to close my eyes and open my hands...and gave me a small teddybear she got at McDonalds!! How sweet is that. That's one of the reasons I like working with kids a lot more than with adults. They act out their emotions 100% and always show when they appreciate you.

The only thing is that I'm dissapointed because I won't be working there full time all summer. I'll only be working full time for 4 weeks and the rest of the time I will have a few scattered days of work. It's the first time in my life where I'm always excited to go to work. I get up in the morning and I'm anxious to get to work. Next week I'm only working at the kids hospital on thursday and friday and I wish I could go work on monday, tuesday and wednesday. I don't have that feeling when working with adults, which is highly dissapointing since getting a permanent full time job at ste-justine doesn't sound very realistic. All the techs are 30ish with kids, so I can rule out maternity leave. But we'll see, you never know.

I love being pleasantly surprised.
You know when you freak out about an upcoming exam and tell yourself a million times "I am going to fail this test" to the point that you've read 10 pages and you don't even remember what you read the previous one because you're too concerned about failing?

That's how I felt last week since I had an exam wednesday and one friday. I was prepared for the wednesday exam because I put all my efforts into that one, but when came the time to study for the last one, I barely had 2 days to do so. It didn't matter that much since I was already passing the class without that test, but still having good grades is for personnal satisfaction.

So I was freaking out to a certain point, thinking things ranging from "how many blanks I am going to leave in" to "what will my teacher think when she will be correcting the exam". At one moment of the day I was feeling so overwhealmed and kind of down and Olivier kept encouraging me saying that I shouldn't worry so much and that I would probably do great anyway. But when you're in freakout mode, what other people say doesn't sink in as much as it's supposed to.

So friday I did the exam and turns out I got 86%. Hahahah. Things weren't so bad after all. Olivier was right. Hahah.

So the moral of the story is don't underestimate yourself. Your brain is smarter than you think!

Enfin je vais me faire payer pour travailler! Enfin j'aurai pas une maitre de stage à 2 pieds surveillant chaque mouvement que je fais! Enfin j'aurai pu à me sentir coupable lorsque j'écouterai la télé un jour de semaine! ENFIN!

Je suis épuisée à mort, et surement que ce soir 2 bières font faire le tour!

Z'vient d'arriver du dentisse pour des plombages...
C'est la premiere fois que za marrive pis j'ai pas trop aimé za.
Ya fallu qui m'gèle 2 fois pis la deuzieme fois ca ma donné des zchocs dans la face. Pis la z'ai de la mizère à parler. Pis le bruit de leur petit instrument la...Bzzzzzzzzzzzzziiii Bzzzzzz zzzwouuutzwouuut...beurk.
En tout cas...c'pas la fin du monde mais mettons j'ai moyen le gout d'avoir d'autres caries(j'vois pas qui aurait le gout d'en avoir de toute maniere la...)

Today Emma announced that she will be coming to Montreal this summer for an entire weekend. How fricken awesome is that. I can't wait to see her! It's been like two years since we've seen each other. Good times are awaiting.

Bon voila mon update hebdomadaire...en bilinguale sti..mélangé avec un peu de bouche gelée.

PS j'ai échangé mon jeu de cranium au wal marde (mwahaha j'les ai fourré, j'avais acheté le jeu l'année passée pis sans faire expres j'ai pris la version anglo...fak la j'ai acheté la version franco pis j'ai switché les cartes. J'ai retourné le jeu francais qui contenait des cartes en anglais mwahah pis ils s'en sont pas rendu compte) Kin sti! Débrouillez vous avec ca!

Chiant comme printemps ca...beurk. Ceux qui chialent constamment contre l'hiver...venez pas m'dire que vous trouvez CA mieux? Pluie=Déprimant.

J'ai recu tous mes retours d'impots pis laissez moi vous dire que ca fait du bien en maudit!!! J'ai décidé de me faire plaisir et je me suis acheté ceci:

D'habitude c'est pas mon genre les affaires emily the strange mais bon, je la trouvais trop cute pour pas l'acheter (skank messemble que j'te vois vouloir le meme genre de montre...on peut faire comme quand on était des enfants pis s'échanger nos montres)

La mon prochain achat va être une paire de rollerblades...la je veux vraiment prendre les choses en main, et par choses je veux dire mon gras, et me mettre en forme et en santé. Alors je sais pas si yen a que ca leur tenterait de se partir un crew de rollerblades cet été...mais si oui ca serait hot. On pourrait en faire dans le vieux ou bien on pourrait prendre ma pinkie-mobile et se rendre à des pistes cyclables en région style laurentides.

Anyone? (hey j'espere qui va au moins avoir une personne qui va répondre..sinon j'ai lair fine! euh bin surtout...j'aurais l'air de pas avoir d'amis...)

SWEET j'ai une autre entrevue bientot! C'est à l'hopital Maisonneuve-Rosemont. Je sais pas c'est pour une job à temps plein ou partiel ou sur appel mais je verrai une fois rendue à l'entrevue.

Ca serait pas pire si je me faisais engager là aussi comme ça j'aurais Santa Cabrini, le CHUM et Maisonneuve-Rosemont. J'imagine qu'à 3 jobs temps partiel j'réussirai à faire une job à temps plein.

On dirait que je réalise pas vraiment que je fini mon DEC dans 1 mois et demi et qu'ensuite je vais être technologue. Je vais faire tous les examens par moi-même, sans surveillance, en étant payée. Payée un salaire pas pire en plus...c'est sur que je chiale pas à 18$ de l'heure. Je vais entrer de la job sans aucun souci en tête et je me sentirai pu coupable à écouter la télé sachant que j'ai des livres qui m'attendent!

Ça va être bin mérité en tout cas, après 3 ans d'études qui ont fait vraiment chier par moments. C'est drole maintenant que je suis à la fin j'me dis "shit ca passé vite" mais jme rappelle très bien quand j'étais en 2e année pis j'marrachais les cheveux en pensant "Caliss que c long j'pu capable". Ca été vraiment tough par boutt mais j'ai presque fini, pis maudit ca fait du bien savoir qu'il me reste que 25 jours de stage!

J'comprend pas les gens qui veulent être dentiste...moi jouer dans les bouches d'inconnus ca me leverait le coeur. Remarque que y'a bin des gens qui disent qu'ils seraient jamais capable de travailler dans un hôpital pis je le fais bin. Quand même...beurk. En plus y doit en avoir plein qui puent d'la gueule.

Bon, en espérant que mes dents sont pas entrain de mourir...

So today i went snowboarding with olivier and his friends and it was awesome, conditions were great, weather was great...
Problem is i overworked myself and since we got back ive been having killer pain in my knee and shin

I was supposed to go to the final couch addiction show to see raph and jp play, also to hang out with my friends, but i had to bail on plans because i knew i wouldn't be able to support standing up all night with this crappy knee
I'm dissapointed I didn't go, but at the same time I know that if I went I would of wanted to go home and get some rest...
(xcuse marie jtavais dis que jirais pis jpas allée...)
I hope it was fun, I will be going FOR SURE at the last show in 2 weeks

Olivier has been asleep since 10 but I can't sleep due to stupid shin splints...it's like there's fricken acid running under my shin. I took some aspirin and am waiting for them to do their job

I donated blood last week for the 3rd time and I got a ticket to go to the auto show. I'm going tomorrow afternoon. Mwahah I want to sit in a Hummer and feel how it's like to be a dumbass jock with no environemental conscience.
I never thought I'd go to an auto show but since it's free I'm going to take full advantage of it. Because well, I'm poor and can't afford cool activities(luckly I have my season pass to go snowbaording) Haha.
I know I already said this but when I think that with the blood I gave I can save 4 lives...wow it's crazy. Since I'm O+(most common blood type) there's a big chance it never gets to be used but still, good feeling.
